The Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards is an annual event that celebrates brands, campaigns, and individuals who make a positive impact on the world through innovative marketing and sustainability programs. This prestigious awards show highlights efforts that go beyond commercial success, recognizing initiatives that drive meaningful change and contribute to social good. By honoring creativity and purpose, the Tambuli Awards inspire organizations to align their strategies with values that benefit both society and the environment.
Project Overview:
For the Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards 2017, I was tasked with designing a motion graphic infomercial opening billboard. The purpose of the project was to celebrate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and sustainability programs that drive performance with purpose. The motion graphic needed to align with the awards' theme of innovation and social responsibility while captivating the audience.
Objective:
The goal was to create a dynamic and engaging opening sequence that would effectively represent the core values of the Tambuli Awards—creativity, innovation, and social impact—through visually compelling motion graphics.
Challenges:
Aligning with the Awards’ Theme: The sequence needed to reflect the theme of innovation and social responsibility, which required a balance of modern aesthetics and meaningful messaging.
Maintaining Professionalism: As the opening billboard for a prestigious event, the design had to convey professionalism while also being visually engaging.
Time Constraints: The project had a tight timeline for completion, which required efficient workflow and execution without compromising on quality.

Research & Concept Development:
I began by reviewing past Tambuli Awards visuals and understanding the event's core message of driving social good through effective marketing. This informed the tone and visual direction for the opening billboard.
The design needed to communicate the themes of innovation, sustainability, and social impact, while keeping it energetic and forward-thinking.
Design & Visual Elements:
Using Adobe Illustrator, I crafted clean, modern visual elements such as abstract shapes, icons representing sustainability, and symbols of innovation.
The color palette was chosen to evoke a sense of professionalism while also staying vibrant and inspiring. A mix of blue, green, and metallic shades was used to represent trust, sustainability, and progress.
Motion Graphics Development:
In Adobe After Effects, I animated the visual elements to create a dynamic sequence that transitions smoothly between scenes, symbolizing growth and transformation. The animation focused on fluid motion to create a sense of progress and movement, aligning with the theme of innovation.
I integrated a mix of typography and iconography, emphasizing the core messages of the awards and enhancing the storytelling aspect of the design.
Incorporating the Tambuli Awards Logo:
The final sequence concluded with the official 2017 Tambuli Awards logo, seamlessly integrated into the motion graphic to tie the entire sequence together. The logo was presented with a refined animation to make it stand out and add a memorable touch to the opening.
Feedback & Refinements:
I worked closely with the Tambuli Awards team to ensure the design aligned with their vision. After receiving feedback, I made necessary refinements, including tweaking the timing of certain animations and enhancing visual clarity.
